Xenophobia: Nigerians lost N21m in burnt cars, looted & burnt shops, - envoy


In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, the Nigerian Consul-General in South Africa, Amb. Uche Ajulu-Okeke, said Nigerians residing in South Africa have lost more than N21m Rand (1.2m) in looted shops, burnt shops, two burnt mechanic workshops, 11 burnt cars and two stolen cars, among others since the xenophobic attacks in some parts of South Africa started. She said the damages are enormous. What she said 

Nicki Minaj not engaged - her mother says


Nicki Minaj got everyone thinking she was engaged to Meek Mill after she posted photos online of her wearing a huge heart shaped diamond on her ring finger. It looks like it may have been a stunt because if Nicki is engaged, her mum doesn't know it.

Heartbreaking photos: People stood by while this man was stabbed to death in SA



People stood by while a Mozambican man, Emmanuel Sithole, was cornered, stabbed in the heart and left to die. This happened yesterday in Johannesburg and yes, he died from his wounds. Killed just for being from another African country.. and the story told by the journalist who witnessed this brutal stabbing is heartbreaking!

700 migrants feared dead in deadliest Mediterranean ship capsize

700 migrants are feared dead after their packed 20-meter fishing boat capsized off Libya today April 19th. Reports say the migrants, whose boat was 70 miles (126 km) off the Libyan coast and 110 miles (177 km) south of the Italian island of Lampedusa, issued a distress call to Italy's coastguard who immediatelyinstructed a nearby merchant ship to go to its aid and it was when the merchant ship arrived at the scene that the fishing boat capsized, most likely as the migrants tried to get its attention, stampeding to one side of the boat.

Accident along Asaba/Benin Expressway this morning


This accident happened about an hour ago along the Asaba-Benin expressway. A commercial bus going to Lagos lost control and left its lane into the other lane, almost slamming into other vehicles but ending up in a gutter on the side of the road. Fortunately no one died. Another pic after the cut...
